Prof. Moshe Koppel, Chairman of Kohelet Policy Forum, spoke at the October 8, 2026 National Conservatism Conference in Jerusalem, on the “Lawfare Everywhere” panel.

In his speech, he presented the audience with the picture of the extreme, legally baseless judicial overreach that exists in Israel, explained how the attempted judicial reform damaged the prestige of “the old guard” who are entrenched in positions of power, and ended on a message of hope: the change in perception and a measure of courage will lead the emerging generation, who are “more united, more nationalist, more conservative, and yet more heterogeneous” than the previous one, to take over and “liberate Israel’s unelected institutions”, making them fair and representative.
