Kohelet Policy Forum has asked the Israel Supreme Court to submit an amicus curiae brief in the appeal against the Anti-Infiltration Law.
In a detailed document delivered to the court beforehand, the Forum gave four main arguments.
The first discusses the hierarchy in the Israeli legal system wherein international law is subordinate to domestic law.
The second points to the Court’s discretion being restricted to the freedoms granted the infiltrators under the Basic Law.
The third reviews the advantages of the law and the fourth questions the UN’s request to join the appeal, which could cause severe damage to Israel and the court.
