In an article published at the Jewish Journal<\/strong>, Adv. Avraham Russell Shalev and Dr. Ariel Admoni from the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security take on the claim made by Tucker Carlson and others that Qatar is a better ally to the US than Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They point to the Qatari betrayal of American interests, both in concrete instances such as their sheltering the terrorist Khalid Sheikh Mohammed\u00a0– who went on to mastermind September 11 – and helping him escape from justice, to supporting a vast network of media and influence that fosters Islamic radicalization and the strategic weakening of the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel, on the other hand, has proven an invaluable ally in fighting for American interests in the region, primarily through its successful endeavors against Iran and its host of proxies. Israel also partners with the U.S for enormously advantageous research and development in the areas of security technologies, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Beyond security, the U.S.-Israel relationship\u00a0is an economic asset, supporting over 255,000 American jobs and investing billions in the American economy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Given Carlson\u2019s recent adulation of Putin and Hamas, it\u2019s not surprising that he shows admiration for an Islamist dictatorship that consistently stirs unrest in the Middle East. Patriotic Americans, whose critical thinking is not compromised by the \u201cbrain virus\u201d of antisemitism, recognize that Israel is an indispensable strategic ally essential to keeping the United States safe, secure, and prosperous.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
