The first story, starting almost adecade ago, is the Elitzur Segal case: In 2004, Segal published an article online including terrible things and threats towards a senior civil servant. The second story: Right after defeating Segal’s appeal, the Attorney General objected to the proposal to amend the Defamation law and allow Israeli soldiers to sue anyone publishing a libel on the IDF’s operational activities.
